Franco-Italian turboprop aircraft manufacturer ATR has identified a market of roughly 16 million passengers a year that remains largely untapped in Indonesia.

India's Ministry of Defence has issued a request for proposals for 60 medium transport aircraft, valued at approximately $10.5 billion, with Lockheed Martin's C-130J and Embraer's C-390 emerging as leading contenders. Five Indian companies, including Tata Advanced Systems and Mahindra, are expected to partner with foreign manufacturers in the competition.
